Anwar Pasaribu, NIRM. 01.1.3.15.0419. Adoption Non Farmer Farming Seeds Watermelon (Citrullus lanatus) in Sei Mencirim Sunggal District of Deli Serdang, North Sumatra Province. This study aims to determine the level of the percentage of farmers' adoption and the factors influencing farmers to adopt farming non-seed watermelon (Citrullus lanatus) in Sei Mencirim Sunggal District of Deli Serdang, North Sumatra. This assessment method is quantitative descriptive by observation, interview using a questionnaire. Implementation assessment in Sei Mencirim Sunggal District of Deli Serdang on March 25, s / d May 24, 2019. The sample was determined by random sampling technique as much as 51 respondents from the farmer who grew watermelons non-seed in Sei Mencirim. Data sources include primary data and secondary data. The analytical method used to determine the percentage of farmers in the farming level of adoption of non-seed watermelon (Citrullus lanatus) by farmers is a Likert scale with the provisions of the total value obtained is divided by the maximum value multiplied by 100%. Meanwhile, to determine the factors that influence farmers to adopt farming non-seed watermelon (Citrullus lanatus) is used multiple linear regression analysis. The study showed that the percentage of farmers in the farming level of adoption of non-seed watermelon (Citrullus lanatus) is equal to 88.73% at the very high category. Secaras simultaneous variables characteristic of the farmers, the role of counselor, a relative advantage, and technology have a significant impact on farmers' adoption in non-farm seed watermelon (Citrullus lanatus). In partial characteristics of farmers and extension role and significant effect relative advantages and technological variables very significant influence on the adoption of farming farmers in non-seed watermelon (Citrullus lanatus) in Sei Mencirim Sunggal District of Deli Serdang, North Sumatra.
