Lasminar, NIRM. 0113150436  Department of Agriculture students conducted a study of Farmers Participation in the Development of the Gapoktan Village Kota Datar Micro-Finance Institution in Hamparan Perak District, Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra Province under the guidance of Nurliana Harahap, SP. M.Sc and Ir. Karim Tarigan, M.S. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of farmer participation in the development of the agro-business microfinance institution Gapoktan Desa Kota Datar sub-district of Hamparan Perak District Deli Serdang North Sumatra Province. This study was conducted in Kota Datar Village on March 25, 2019 until May 24, 2019. The method of this study was quantitative descriptive conducted by observation, interviews using Kueisoner and documentation. The sample is determined by the Simple Random Sampling technique of 75 farmers who are members of 7 farmer groups. Data sources include primary and secondary data. Data collection uses a questionnaire that has been tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis using a Likert scale and data analysis using Spearman Rank Correlation. The results of the study concluded that the level of farmer participation in the development of the Gapoktan agribusiness financial institution was 70.33 percent with a high category. The results of the analysis of factors related to farmer participation in the development of Gapoktan agribusiness micro-finance institutions are Age of 0.419 **, Education of 0.390 **, Land area of 0.246 *, Role of Instructor of 0.382 **, Socilaization Intensity of 0.351 **, and Leadership Management of 0.291 *.
