Abstract
Nismah Br Tarigan, Nim.RPL 01.01.21.397, Design of Counseling on the Selection and Use of Superior Rice Seed Varieties in lowland rice cultivation (Oriza Sativa L) in Tanjung Gunung Village, Lau Baleng District, Karo Regency, North Sumatra Province. The aim of this research is to design outreach on the use and selection of superior rice seed varieties that can increase farmers' knowledge in Tanjung Gunung Village, Lau Baleng District, Karo Regency. The research results show that extension is quite effective in increasing farmers' knowledge. The average value of farmers' knowledge in using superior rice seeds is 71% with good criteria, meaning that the aim of the extension is so that farmers know that the use of superior rice seeds has been achieved.
